PNMP Faculty members of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) were featured by the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) Biliran Chapter for their creative literary contributions during the PNA Region VIII Convention held on June 13, 2026, in Naval, Biliran.

Their original poems celebrated the nursing profession through reflections on compassion, resilience, leadership, healing, education, community service, and the lived experiences of nurses. The literary works demonstrated how creativity complements professional practice by capturing the human values that define nursing and inspire compassionate healthcare.

The recognized faculty members were Dr. Pearl Irish V. De Paz, Dr. Jovy Dia R. Saniel, Dr. Mae Geraldine E. Dacer, Ms. Sheilomay A. Majait MAN, Ms. Berna B. Sallave MAN, Ms. Baby Danica N. Dalumpines MAN, Ms. Lovely E. Tapaya MAN, Ms. Ma. Flossie L. Tangpuz MAN, and Ms. Shallene Faye A. Mendoza MAEd (Science), each contributed an original poem inspired by their specialization, professional journey, and personal reflections on the vocation of nursing and education.

As a member institution of the Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (EVHRDC), BiPSU continues to promote excellence in scholarship, research, and creative productivity. The faculty members’ literary contributions exemplify the multifaceted role of educators as clinicians, researchers, mentors, and scholars. The recognition underscores the valuable role of creative scholarship in enriching nursing education, professional practice, and lifelong learning.
