The 2026 Capture the Heart in Health Research Photo Essay Contest, an annual initiative of the DOST-PCHRD, invites researchers, partners, and the public to showcase compassion, collaboration, and commitment through powerful visual storytelling.

Participants/Projects may joinone (1) categoryonly:
Category 1: DOST-PCHRD–Supported Projects (2018–2025)
*Open to project leaders and members of DOST-PCHRD–supported research projects (ongoing or completed).
Entries may feature:
- Fieldwork, laboratory work, or community engagement
- Research-driven interventions and capacity-building initiatives
- Collaboration among institutions and stakeholder
- The impact of HeaRT on Filipino communities*
Category 2: General Public – HeaRT in Everyday Life
*Open to members of the general public aged 18 and above.
Entries may highlight:
- Everyday moments where health research and technology improve well-being
- Stories of Filipinos benefiting from research outcomes
- Care, resilience, and community empowerment through science*
Previous winners may join again, but winning photos from past years may not be resubmitted. All entries must be new and original.Participation is free of charge.
What to submit? Each entry must include:
- A photo essay with 3–5 original photos
- A written essay (350–500 words) that weaves the images into a cohesive story aligned with the theme
