Faculty members of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) were featured by the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) Biliran Chapter for their creative literary contributions during the PNA Region VIII Convention held on June 13, 2026, in Naval, Biliran.
Their original poems celebrated the nursing profession through reflections on compassion, resilience, leadership, healing, education, community service, and the lived experiences of nurses. The literary works demonstrated how creativity complements professional practice by capturing the human values that define nursing and inspire compassionate healthcare.

As part of Biliran Province State University’s (BiPSU) commitment to internationalization and academic excellence, the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) participated in the International Cultural Immersion Program and Networking held in South Korea from June 8 to 21, 2026. The program was implemented under the University’s internationalization initiatives through the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Internationalization, and Strategic Partnerships headed by Dr. Maribel N. Zipagan, providing BPSU students with opportunities for global learning, intercultural engagement, and professional development.

A proposed nutrition project aimed at reducing child malnutrition and stunting in Eastern Visayas has moved one step closer to approval.
During its Second Quarter 2026 Meeting on 26 May 2026, the RDC VIIIโSocial Development Committee endorsed the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) CONNECT for consideration by the RDC VIII Full Council on 25 June 2026.

Building on the gains of the existing PMNP, the proposed project seeks to expand nutrition interventions, strengthen local nutrition governance, and improve the delivery of health and nutrition services for women and children across the region.
